Many people have never hired a professional Magician before, so I have summarised here several of the most frequently asked questions I receive.  There’s no such thing as a silly question, so please do get in touch if your question is not answered below.

What type of magic do you perform?

I perform what I believe to be the most intimate and direct form of magic, which is called “close-up” magic.  Using sleight-of-hand and mind-reading techniques, I will provide memorable and personal entertainment for all your guests.  You can find out a little more about the benefits and applications of the type of magic I perform here.  I should mention that I don’t perform children’s parties, however if there are some kids present at your event I do have a trick or two ideal for them.  I do also know a few kids entertainers should you need some recommendations.

How much will it cost to hire you?

You will not find prices on my website as every quote is tailored to your specific requirements.  I pride myself in offering the best possible service for a highly competitive fee – please just get in touch to discuss your requirements and obtain a free, no obligation quote.

How far in advance should I book you?

As soon as you know the date of your event I would suggest getting in touch.  Popular dates can book up a year in advance.  On the other hand I sometimes have last minute cancellations, so if your event is next week or even tonight just get in touch – I might be available.

How far do you travel?

Whilst based in Edinburgh, I do have my own transport so can be available across the whole of Scotland.

How long should I book you for?

This varies depending on the number of guests you have, and other time constraints on your event.  I would suggest to allow 1 hour for every 50 people so I can involve as many as possible.  Should you be planning a much larger event, I would suggest booking two Magicians – ensuring complete coverage.  I can book a second Magician on your behalf if required as part of a package.

Can I see you perform live?

Absolutely yes!  If you would like to meet me in person or see me performing live before booking me, just get in touch.  I can arrange to meet you at a convenient location to demonstrate my magic, or you may be able to attend an event I am already performing at.

How can I book you?

I aim to make booking me as simple as possible – there are just 3 quick steps:

1) Email/phone me with your enquiry – I will reply, answering all your questions, confirming my availability and providing you with a free no-obligation quote.

2) Email/phone me to let me know you would like to confirm the booking – I will post you a booking form for signing and returning along with a small booking deposit (stamped addressed enveloped supplied).

3) I will confirm receipt of the booking form and deposit via email/phone. The remaining balance of my fee will not be due until the day of the event.

That’s it – your entertainment is taken care of!  I will be in touch a few days prior your event to finalise the exact arrangements, following which the next time you hear from me will be in person at your event – where I will be very much looking forward to meeting you.
